August Beauty Favourites

I cannot believe that we are in September already; I think I blinked and missed August completely. It does however mean that it’s time to show you what I have been loving this month.

All of this month’s favourites are items that I have had for a while and I am only just realising how much I use and love them. Starting with the Batiste dry shampoo; I have been reaching for this nearly every day. I went through a stage of washing my hair everyday because it’s so fine and gets greasy really easily, so I have been trying my hardest to break the bad habit and this has been a life saver. It’s perfect for the days where my hair needs that little bit of extra volume and life that I would normally get from washing it.

Now I am the type of person who constantly lives with nail polish on. I am so used to seeing it that when it’s not there I feel like my hands look so bare. I recently had a good clear out of all my old polish that was of no use to anyone. However, this meant that I was extremely lacking in options. I have slowly been buying a few when they are on offer to build my collection back up and I have realised that I always end up in the Barry M section. The colour range is absolutely gorgeous, they are so easy to work with and they seem to last longer than other brands. To top it off they are super affordable. I recently picked these two up in Tesco when they were two for £6.

As for makeup favourites this month, I have constantly been using my Benefit Gimme Brow. It is so easy to brush through your brows on those mornings when you just want to get out the door but also want to look like you have made an effort. I also love using it to finish off my brow routine if I am wearing a lot more makeup. It helps to keep my brows in place all day, fills in any little gaps and also keeps them looking really natural.

If you are subscribed to my channel or have seen some of my other posts you will know I have been obsessed with my Mac lipstick in Syrup ever since I picked it up in the duty free. I have come to realise that this M.U.A. lip liner in ‘Caramel Nougat’ is the perfect match for it. The best part is that these are only £1; I would definitely recommend trying them out!

Skincare was an easy choice for me this month as I have stuck with these two. The Liz Earle cleanse and polish is a game changer. I have been using it every day since I bought it and I would not go back. I will always find a way to include it in my skincare routine; it makes my skin feel so clean and fresh. It may be a little more expensive than your normal cleanser however the bottles last for such a long time and I would definitely say it’s worth those extra few pounds.

I mentioned in a previous haul video that I managed to pick up this Emma Hardy body cream for £7.99 in TK Maxx compared to its normal £29. I have to say this must be one of the most luxurious body butters I have ever used. Its thick and creamy consistency leaves my skin soft and nourished. I also love its natural smelling fragrance which I think can be really refreshing.

Finally I have a fragrance this month that I think has become my signature scent – Heat by Beyonce. I think I have worn it nearly every day and it’s not a perfume I had ever considered purchasing until I tested out my sister’s bottle and knew instantly that I needed it. It’s so reasonably priced too; I think I paid a little over £12 for 100mls. It’s definitely worth testing out next time your near a fragrance retailer!
